Detailed breakdown

Problem

The client wanted to bring its priority services into Google’s top results, lift overall rankings, and improve the site’s UX/UI. The site had a large amount of content built up over the years but wasn’t realizing its potential because of a number of problems:

Technical

  • Incorrectly configured RU/UA language versions (hreflang, HTML lang attribute)
  • Incorrect canonical tags
  • Internal links to services went through a 302 redirect, and the pages themselves had non-human-readable URLs
  • A chaotic H1–H6 heading structure and no key structured data (schema markup)
  • Other technical errors, including problems with meta tags, the XML sitemap, and site functionality (buttons, forms)

* — the situation was complicated by a custom admin panel: some fixes required non-standard solutions, and others required changes to the admin panel itself.

On-page and UX/UI

  • Weak templates for the core page types, with no pricing section, customer reviews, FAQ, internal linking sections, etc.
  • Several important supporting pages were missing (Contact, About Us, Warranty, Our Work, etc.)
  • General usability problems that also required a partial redesign of the site

Solution

  • Competitor and site structure analysis, with suggestions for expanding the site
  • Technical and usability audits to identify growth opportunities
  • Fixing high-priority technical errors
  • Parallel on-page optimization: writing copy, working on meta tags, and creating new pages
  • Off-page optimization: placing links to the site on third-party websites
  • Submitting pages that weren’t showing up in search for reindexing through the Google Indexing API

Result

After the technical errors were fixed, existing pages were optimized, and new pages were added, the site started getting indexed and ranking better. Organic traffic grew, along with the share of commercial keywords in the TopĀ 3, TopĀ 10, and TopĀ 30 in both language versions.
